Located at Spruce Street Harbor Park - 301 South Columbus Blvd. is the Mississippi Donkey. A very colorful donkey representing the state it includes a Sandhill crane, Fannie Lou Hamer, who was an activist for civil and voting rights. Magnolias the state flower and I have to admit I'm not sure why there is a caduceus on the donkey's head - anyone have a clue??? If you haven't had a chance to check out Spruce Street Harbor Park, take the time to check out both the park and the Mississippi Donkey!
