The blog is organized with a different state or territory for each posting and are listed in reverse alphabetical order.  ​Each blog post has a description of the donkey including location, Artist Name with a link to their work, a fun fact about the state, some of the pictures we took and a map to the donkeys actual location.  On the right Navigation Bar provides the ability to SEARCH for each donkey.

Rankings:  Based upon OUR experiences using the criteria below:

Location - Accessibility, Distance from Center City, Parking or Walkability Score, Location where it was supposed to be, Near other donkeys in another location.

Ease of Photography - Lighting, Donkey background not easy to photograph, Location backdrop, 360 degree access.

Design - (Somewhat subjective), Coloring of background, Design Detail, State Representation.

Located on Walnut Street between 36th and 38th Streets it's not on Locust Walk which is what's listed on the official document.  The Wyoming Donkey has the state flower Indian Paintbrush.  It's located very close to the wall which made it difficult to get pictures of the back.

Fun Fact - Wyoming is the 9th largest state, but has the fewest people (475,000).

Located inside Macy's Department Store in the center of the store near the "Meet me by the Eagle" so it's only available during store hours. Enter either from the Market St. or Chestnut St. entrances - 1300 Market Street.  The front of the Wisconsin Donkey is highlights the states role in women's rights being the first state to ratify the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote. Not surprisingly, cheese and dairy cows also find their  place. The back is cute with a family farm, and badgers.

Fun Fact -  Milwaukee's Summerfest is the nation's largest music festival, with over 2,500 performers.

Located outside near the steps of the National Liberty Museum - 321 Chestnut Street.  The West Virginia Donkey's main design on the front is the New River Gorge Bridge.  The banner across her neck is the state slogan "Wild and Wonderful". The back has a nicely done state capital and state seal.

Fun Fact - In 2000, MJ chaperoned a white water rafting trip on the New River with high school students from her synagogue in Ohio.

Located on the Porch at 30th Street Station (between Market Street and the Train Station) - 2955 Market Street.  The District of Columbia Donkey is very colorful however confused us as far a design but we've heard it is a listing of all its neighborhoods.  This is very different than what we read was originally planned for the donkey.
